Friday Wish List

Hey my lovies! Hope you are having a royally awesome day today! I got done with my third out of five finals today and it went surprisingly well. I hope you are getting ready for a fun weekend. We are going to Tampa to visit Rocky's sister and her family. It is his nephew's birthday this week. I hope you enjoy this wish list!

1. Owl in the Same Spot Keepsake Box

How cute is this! I'm a sucker for owls!

2. Anchor Necklace

I have been wanting to get matching anchor necklaces for me and my friend since we always go out on our boats together. This would be perfect for us!

3. Opaque Rose Ring


So adorable! Chunky rings are always in style!

4. Zoya Ki


I have been seeing a lot of colors like this around lately. I have one or two like this but nothing with such dimension and multichrome.

5. Toms Red Canvas Wedges

These are so cute and I love the good works of this company. I would definitely buy these! I like their original style of shoe but these are great!

6. Mitchell Armless Chair in Green Floral

This is such a fun chair. Great accent piece! I would love to put this in my house. Too bad I have no where to put it! :(

7. Brush & Pencil Case in Baroque

I am a Vera Bradley freak! I have everything! This is my pattern, Baroque. I love it and I love all things Vera. My mom got me a tote for Easter and I have been carrying that around. It is a lot bigger than my normal handbags and it has not pockets so I need something to keep everything separate and organized. This would be perfect for all my pencils, pens and miscellaneous junk that falls the bottom and becomes a wild goose chase to find what I need.

8. Colada Craze On-The-Go Gel Sanitizer


I find myself always in need of hand sanitizer but I never have it. I need to pick myself up some.

9. Outdoor Swingasan Chair

I sat in one of these at Pier 1 and I must say it is mighty comfy. This would be great for those sunny summer days when you just want to sit in the sun and be lazy. It is even big enough for two people if you don't mind being a little snug. :)

10. MacBook Pro

This really shouldn't be on my wish list because I ordered one. But it is supposedly on the truck for delivery today and I really want it to be in my possession! I have no patience!

Easter Cupcakes

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. On Saturday I went with my mom to my grandma's house to celebrate my aunt's birthday and Easter with them because we were celebrating Easter with my other grandma on Sunday. My mom was in charge of cupcakes and she (as always) did an amazing job! She is so crafty. She swears she isn't but I told her "these cupcakes don't lie"!

This is the one I ate! Not only did they look adorable but they tasted delish!!!

She also had the coolest carrier for the cupcakes!

So great! Then you don't have to be as careful with them. She got this at Michael's for $19.99 and used one of the 40% coupons that always come in their ads or you can get one online. Such a deal for this functional carrier. It also doubles as a mini cupcake holder. On the bottom of this plate thing is spots for mini cupcakes. I will definitely be making a trip to Michael's soon to get myself one of these.

Friday Wish List

They will be things that I would never be able to get but would like to have or things that are more realistic. I love crossbody purses! They are almost all I will wear. I love this one because it is big but not too big!

I think I might order this! It's so fun and kind of a unique look!

Of course I have to have a nail polish in here somewhere! I am so glad Ulta started carrying Butter London. They have such unique colors but they come at a high price. Which I think is worth it but most do not.

9. Feather Hair Extensions

These are so fun and the latest trend right now! I really want to try these! You can even wash your hair and do all your normal things with them in. They can last anywhere from one to six months!

10. Bling Metal Shaking Owl Iphone Case

What a fun case! You can wear it as a necklace. I would totally rock one of these. I think I might try my hand at making one of these. If I do I'll post a video or pictures!

Who Is The Man In My Life?

He was given the name Myron, after his father, but since his birth he has been called Rocky. We met at work and it was not the typical love at first sight. When he started working I was still in high school and only worked in the afternoons which was right around the time he was clocking out. I knew very little about him and had no need to ask for more details. I was quiet and shy back then (mostly because I was intimidated by all the adults and I felt so out of place among them). We were going through employees quickly and none of them lasted very long so I just assumed he was part of this cycle. I also assumed he was wayyyy older than he actually was (oh the trouble I get in for assuming things) so I thought I had no business talking to him anyway. Well as the months passed by and I graduated from high school and turned eighteen I found myself talking to him more and more. But two major problems were holding us back from moving further. First of all, if you remember I work for a family business, which means my dad and my grandpa are our bosses. I was worried about their reaction to a possible relationship between Rocky and I. And surprisingly that was the least of my worries. At the point where we realized we had feelings for each other (or at least when I admitted to myself) we were both in relationships with other people. Now in his situation, he was already contemplating ending that relationship before I came into the picture. In my case though, I had had no problems with the guy. I loved him but I was (still am (of course!)) in love with Rocky. It was a very tough decision for me but I did what my heart told me to do. So we ended our relationships and had our first official date on Christmas. We went to the movies and I knew I had made the right decision.
He is so amazing. He has brought so much joy and fun into my life. He is the most spontaneous and good-humored individual I have ever met. I know I can truly be myself around him and he will not love me any less. I know I am one lucky girl to be loved by him. He makes me feel so special! I have never ever felt so beautiful and loved.
I don't mean to make it out to be that we have a perfect relationship because we certainly do not but I know that nothing can come between us. I love him with all my might and I know he loves me as well.
I want to let you know that you should never settle for anything less than you deserve. So if you are worried that you have not found that special someone, do not fret, your time will come as long as you do not force it. There is someone out there for you, you just have to let time take its toll and have fun with all the Mr. Wrongs!

Welcome!!

Welcome to Katherine On A Whim. I have a nail polish blog but I have other things I want to talk about on here and none of them are on a specific topic so I decided to make this blog about all my fun and random thoughts. Hopefully you will get some inspiration from this and if not that's okay to! I just want to share some fun things with you guys and I hope that you will participate in these fun festivities! :) So first I want to tell you all a little more about Katherine. I am a 20 year old college student living in the Sunshine State! I absolutely love it here and I don't plan on moving away any time soon! I can't anyways, I am going to college to get my Bachelor's in Business Administration (which I will be getting in December of this year!!!) and then I will be taking over the family business. Also I am happily engaged!! My wonderful fiance and I will be tying the knot in April of next year! It is going by so fast and I am so excited! It is going to be a busy year for me and I am so glad I now have a place to share all my experiences! I hope you guys enjoy this and feel free to ask me any questions!
